MAXGUARDTM  GN WHI H PROPERTIES
MAXGUARDTM  GN WHI H gelcoat is based on special NPG/isophthalic polyester resin. The base resin and  the  formulation  itself  give  good  mechanical  and  weathering  properties  to  final  parts.  D.N.V.,  Lloyd organizations confirmed that MAXGUARDTM  GN WHI H gelcoat has the low water absorption. Very good anti-water (including seawater) performance can resist water permeating and blistering. Very good tension strength, tension modulus, elongation and anti-heat shocking performances. Good anti-yellowing and anti-chalk performance. High HDT and tension performances give the film good toughness and surface performances.

 

MAXGUARDTM  GN WHI H APPLICATION
MAXGUARDTM GN WHI H hand lay-up Gelcoat is approved by Lloyd's Register and Det Norske Veritas for use in boat building. MAXGUARDTM  GN WHI H gelcoat is recommended for the manufacture of boats and other reinforced plastic laminates. It's specially recommended when good water resistance and good resistance for UV-light required.

 

 

MAXGUARDTM  GN WHI H HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
For good working practices, see Ineos "Gelcoat Handling Guide" . Maximum storage of gelcoat is 3 months under 25.C away from direct sunlight. The Gelcoat must be stirred properly but gently before use. Temperature of workshop, raw materials and tools should be 18-25.C and relative humidity below 80%. A high quantity of MEKP catalyst should be used between 1.5-2.5%. Applied gelcoat wet film thickness should be 400-800 μm depending of final  use.  For  more  information  on  product  safety, check  Ineos  " MATERIAL SAFETY  DATA SHEET" .
