BYK-P 9920 was specially developed for use in fiber-reinforced plastics. The additive improves the wetting of glass or carbon fibers which results in less air entrapment and porosity. The additive avoids dry spots and reduces the scrap rate. Because of the high content of non-volatile matter, it is particularly suitable for closed mold processes. The epoxy-functional groups contained in the additive enable embedding into the matrix.
