Chemical/physical nature

Palatal® P 65 TV-959 is a pre-accelerated, thixotropic unsaturated polyester resin based on orthophthalic acid, dissolved in styrene. 
The resin has a low viscosity and a high reactivity. 
Palatal® P 65 TV-959 has good mechanical property and 
hydrolysis resistance.

Application

Palatal ® P 65TV-959 is well suited for hand lay-up and spray process. It rapidly impregnates the reinforcing materials during lay-up and does not run off in vertical side. Palatal® P 65 TV-959 
has good mechanical property and hydrolysis resistance. It suits marine ,sanitary ,leisure and cabin industry.

 

Processing Guidelines

A. Before use, the resin should be conditioned at a welldefined, application dependant temperature (usually 15ºC
minimum for a MEKP / Co cure).
B. Palatal ® P 65TV-959 contains Cobalt accelerator. For 
peroxide, MEKP is recommended. Be sure that the peroxide 
is in shelf life.
C. Maintain shop temperatures between 18 ºC and 32 ºC and 
humidity between 40% and 90%. Consistent shop 
conditions contribute to consistent gel times and will help 
the fabricator make a high quality part.
D. The final state of cure may further be optimized by postcuring at elevated temperatures (e.g. 80 ºC) for several 
hours.  

 

Storage Guidelines

The resin should be stored in a dark and dry place at temperatures between 5 °C and 30 °C. Shelf life is reduced when resin is stored at 
higher temperatures and the properties of the resin might change during storage. Store in dark and in 100% light tight containers only. Exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided.
